Tony Lees
With no formal training, Tony has developed impressions created by the industrial nature of the area of Lancashire in which he lived. More recently he has turned his attention to the Lake District and its contrasting countryside in addition to other rural areas. Undoubtedly, fell walking inspires Tony greatly and the varying effects of sun, shadows and weather on the landscape contribute beyond measure to his popular personal interpretations. The ‘3D’ dimension to his painting is, he feels, aided by the kiln fired ceramics he creates and it will come as no surprise to learn that Tony’s hugely popular paintings are to be seen in homes worldwide.
